Falkirk Council area has over 50 Tree Preservation Orders, which are intended to highlight and retain the wooded character and setting of settlements. To assist with this and general tree care issues, an advisory service is provided for both householders and developers. To compliment the document "You and your trees|" is the supplementary planning guidance "Trees and development|".
