Since 1998 communities across the Falkirk Council area have had a chance to help shape access provision in their areas.
There are now path networks around Denny, Dunipace, Bonnybridge, Tamfourhill, Stenhousemuir, Larbert, Airth, Dunmore, Falkirk, Grangemouth, Skinflats, Polmont, Maddiston, Westquarter, California, Shieldhill and Bo'ness.
There are excellent path networks around many key visitor attractions.
-
Callendar House, Callendar Park and Callendar Wood.
-
Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway and the Foreshore.
-
The Antonine Wall.
-
The Falkirk Wheel.
We also have a good network of linkages between communities. Routes along the canals, Rivers Carron, River Avon, the Forth Estuary, old railway lines and quiet country roads form the main spines of these linkages.
