The action plan contains details of 113 actions that the Council and partners are carrying out, which will contribute to the sustainable development of the area. Input was sought from local businesses, housing associations, voluntary groups, community groups and government agencies.
The majority of actions are being led by the Council. Some of these actions had been planned but around many arose from in house sustainability training, which encouraged Council services to look for opportunities for new action. It is hoped that this can be replicated with partners to encourage them to play a greater role in future annual action plans.
