The Bridge & Structural Design Team is responsible for:

new road and foot bridges, culverts and highway retaining structures

strength assessment of existing bridges and design of associated bridge strengthening schemes

structural design and advice to the Building Design Unit

structural inspection and advice to the Building Standards Unit, Housing Services and the Facilities division of Corporate & Commercial Services

design and implementation of flood prevention schemes.
