Dial-a-Journey bus travel entitlement card

Dial-a-Journey is a door to door transport service for people with mobility problems.

  • There is no charge to join the Dial-a-Journey scheme but you must be permanently resident in the Falkirk Council area and be unable to use ordinary public transport.
  • You can use this service to go anywhere within the Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire Council areas. (It may be possible to travel out with this area but this should be checked with the office when you wish to book a journey).
  • The service may be used for any journey except hospital appointments where the ambulance service provides patient transport.
  • The fare you pay depends on the distance and number of people travelling.
  • There is no limit to the number of journeys you can make.
  • If you need someone to assist you, they pay half-fare up to a maximum of £1.00.
  • Friends may travel with you and will pay the same fare as you.
  • Excursions are also available in the summer months.
  • Journeys must be booked in advance. This can be done by contacting the Dial-a-Journey office up to three days in advance. For occasions such as weddings or holidays you may be able to book up to six months in advance. As demand for the service is high, it is advisable to give as much notice as possible.
