Red Permit scheme

This is a parking/access scheme operated by Falkirk Council that allows the holder entry to the pedestrianised parts of Falkirk High Street within specified times.

In order to qualify for a permit you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • you are registered blind OR
  • you are unable to shop without the use of a wheelchair

The charge for the permit is £5.00 for one year.

You can use the Red Permit in the following pedestrianised areas of Falkirk before 11.00 am and after 4.00 pm every day:

  • High Street
  • pedestrianised areas of Cow Wynd, Callendar Riggs and Lint Riggs
