Falkirk Council has recently taken over the central administration of work experience for schools in Clackmannanshire and Falkirk Council areas.
The Work Experience programme provides a unique opportunity for our young people which we cannot reproduce within a school environment. It allows our young people to have a first hand experience of the world of work and to learn from employers and employees about the skills, knowledge and attitudes they will require to make a successful transition into the workplace. It also allows them to identify areas for personal development and to make informed career choices. We are committed to ensuring the young people of Clackmannanshire and Falkirk have more choices, and therefore, more chance of achieving their unique potential and we are relying on the business community to support us as partners in this endeavour.
Some of the benefits to Employers are:
-
Opportunity for staff development
-
Greater awareness in young people of job/career opportunities and associated skills
-
Better understanding among business people of current developments in education
-
Promotion of a company to potential employees and customers.
We greatly value and appreciate any support you may be able to provide to our schools and hope you will consider this favourably.
