Kate has been with the Active Schools team since April 2005 working in the Grangemouth Cluster, in April 2008 she became the Coordinator for Bo'ness Cluster as well.
Part of Kate's Active Schools role in the Bo'ness Cluster is to support current after school clubs led by school staff and volunteers, and set up new clubs as and when funding opportunities arise.
Examples of after school clubs that are running in Bo'ness Schools throughout the school year are:

There are always opportunities to get involved in running after school clubs to help increase physical activity participation in primary schools.

Kate also provides the following areas of support in primary schools:

Active Playgrounds: playground development, playground friends schemes

Active Travel: promoting walking and cycling to school

Supporting the Curriculum: healthy living topics, mapping skills and old fashioned games sessions

Active Holiday Programmes: Easter and Summer

Organising and supporting Active Schools events: Such as Mini Olympics, Athletics Championships and Orienteering
These areas all work together to try and get more children, more active, more often!

Fiona has been the Secondary Coordinator several years now and she organises a wide variety of clubs within the school.
