Glenfair Nursery School is located approximately half a mile from the main Camelon-Falkirk road, to the west of Camelon town centre. Glenfair provides pre-school education and childcare to a maximum of 60 children during each session. Children normally attend either five mornings or five afternoons per week. A few children have extended day places and attend for a longer time than the normal 2.5 hour session.
Pre-school education at Glenfair Nursery School is important because:
-
it provides a safe and secure environment with a variety of activities that further children's overall development, particularly early literacy and early numeracy
-
it helps children to become more independent and self-confident
-
it provides a learning enviroment where children are encouraged to co-operate with others and to use activities in a productive and purposeful way.
Glenfair Nursery School is committed to providing inclusive education for all children. Every child who attends has the same opportunities to participate in the wide range of activities that are available. The Nursery School promotes a welcoming environment to all and encourages parental partnership and community involvement.
