Rannoch Nursery has places for 50 children aged 0-5 years and has wheelchair access. We have approximately 25 day care places.
The Nursery is open 51 weeks of the year and only closes for staff in-service training and public holidays. Opening hours are 8.00am - 6.00pm.
Staff have recognised, formal, childcare qualifications and are experienced in childcare and education, while working in partnership with parents.
Rannoch Nursery provides an enriching interactive environment linking to people and places within the local community. All activities provided follow local and national curriculum guidelines and include sand, water, paint, music and movement and outdoor play.
Placements allow the children to make friends, learn new skills and have a thoroughly fun time in a safe environment. We have a secure entry system and waiting room for parents to use.
We offer a large outdoor play area. The ratio of qualified staff, which comprises of; 1 Headteacher, 1 Manager, 3 Senior Early Years Officer, and 10 full time equivalent Early Years Officers, is 1:8. We also offer training for a variety of students. We have Support for Learning Assistants; a cook and a full time clerical assistant.
We are part of the Early Intervention Programme and Grangemouth Intergrated Learning Community.
Each pre-school child is entitled to 12.5 hours provision per week which is usually broken up into 5 x 2.5 hours per day. We also offer extended day provision for working or studying parents at an extra cost.
Our children follow the S.E.E.D. Curriculum for Excellence; Falkirk Council's 0-8 Guidelines and Birth to 3 - Supporting our Youngest Children. We promote outdoor play and healthy eating and run a toothbrushing programme.
We welcome parents as partners in their children's education and for them to become involved in the community at every opportunity.
