Antonine Primary School is a non-denominational primary school, situated in Bonnybridge, which is to the west of Falkirk.
Pupils were first taught in the school on 15 February 1988, it being officially opened by Councillor R.G. Montgomery on 15 June 1988. After consultation with parents, the school was named Antonine Primary School, as it is built on the site line of the Antonine Wall.
The school caters for pupils from nursery (3 years) to primary 7. The nursery class has places for 30 pupils in the morning and 30 in the afternoon. Currently there are nine classes for P1–7 pupils, including composite classes.
Nursery education is available offering 2.5 hours of pre-school education sessions each week. Children will benefit from the high quality experience, which will enhance their social, emotional and intellectual development. More information can be found on the Childcare and Pre-School pages|.
During session 2002/2003, the school was extensively refurbished with all classrooms and open areas being re-carpeted, provided with new furniture, equipment and libraries. An information centre was created which comprises of a computer suite and a reference library. In addition, all classrooms have one computer and there is a computer in the infant open area.
An extension to the school was completed in November 2006 and each classroom has a smartboard.
As well as all aspects of the 5–14 curriculum, the school also offers extensive extra curricular activities. For further information, please contact the headteacher.
