Avonbridge Primary School is a small non-denominational school set in the rural village of Avonbridge, which lies approximately 6 miles south of Falkirk.

The village has a mix of council and private housing with the majority being council owned. There is a shop in the village, which sells groceries and a post office. A haulage firm and a public house are also sources of employment. We have two Churches, the Congregational Church and the Church of Scotland, which both have regular Sunday services. Ministers of both churches are regular visitors to the school and take part in assemblies and end-of-term services.

Nursery education is available offering 2.5 hours of pre-school education sessions each week. Children will benefit from the high quality experience, which will enhance their social, emotional and intellectual development. More information can be found on the Childcare and Pre-School pages|.

An out-of-school hours gymnastics club is run weekly along with other activities throughout the session. Avonbridge Primary School is an eco-school, already having gained the Bronze Award and now working towards the Green Flag. The Eco committee has led the school forward in various areas including recycling, energy efficiency, litter reduction and the formation of a school garden.

The school offers a residential experience each year for senior pupils. This is in conjunction with the other cluster primary schools and is normally to Dounans Centre, Aberfoyle, in September. This is part of the transition to secondary school and gives the children an opportunity to meet before going on to high school.
