Denny Primary School is a non-denominational primary school situated in the heart of the town and is one of the three schools serving the area. It is located approximately 6 miles from the centre of Falkirk.

In Denny Primary School we seek to provide learning experiences which will enable all young people to achieve their potential and participate in development of a fair and caring society.

To achieve this we aim to:

  1. provide an appropriate curriculum which encompasses breadth, balance, continuity and progression in line with 5–14 guidelines for all pupils
  2. promote pupils' attainment and good standards in terms of their course work and national targets by encouraging them to successfully complete challenging learning tasks
  3. provide a variety of teaching approaches, which motivates pupils to engage in a range of learning strategies for specific purposes and contexts which enable them to achieve appropriate targets
  4. provide a safe learning environment in which every person's needs, whether educational, emotional, physical or social are recognised and supported
  5. provide an open, welcoming school where partnerships are encouraged and developed between staff, pupils, parents, Community and Education Services, and in which every person feels valued and values others.
  6. use the resources of the school, including human resources, in an efficient and effective manner in support of School Development Planning, learning and teaching and the school's stated aims
  7. respond to educational change through leadership and teamwork in a planned coherent way using systematic monitoring and school self-evaluation

In order to achieve these aims, a quality assurance system based on rigorous self-evaluation is central to our school planning system.
