Dunipace Primary School is a non-denominational school, situated in a rural location to the north west of Falkirk, near to the town of Denny. It is within easy reach of Stirling, Falkirk and Grangemouth and can be accessed by the M9 motorway system.
The present building was opened in November 1993. It is a pleasant red brick, semi-open-plan building standing on the brow of a hill. In September 2001 a new nursery extension was completed.
There is a large, well-landscaped playground comprising both tarmac and grassed areas and two car parks for staff and visitors.
In June 2005, the school roll was 180, in classes from primaries one to seven. The nursery class has provision for 60 children in total. We currently have 20 morning places and 30 afternoon sessions. Nursery education is available offering 2.5 hours of pre-school education sessions each week.
Children will benefit from the high quality experience that will enhance their social, emotional and intellectual development. More information can be found on the Childcare and pre-school pages.
The school maintains and promotes positive partnerships with parents, the local community and other agencies. There are close links with Dunipace Parish Church and the school chaplain is a regular visitor to classes. Positive contact is maintained with senior citizens in a neighbouring sheltered housing complex.
The school offers a range of extra-curricular opportunities to pupils. These include football, basketball, dance classes and cross-country athletics.
