Head Teacher/Officer:
Mr Malcolm Cowie

Laurieston Primary School (roll 180, plus 40 nursery) serves the village of Laurieston on the east side of Falkirk.

Built in 1965 to replace the old Victorian school, the building consists of 10 generously proportioned classrooms and a central block housing offices, library, computer suite, gym and dining hall. One of the classrooms now serves as a nursery class. In 1992 a community wing was added, affording access to parents and toddlers, playgroups and an after school club.

Nursery education is available offering 2.5 hours of pre-school education sessions each week. Children will benefit from the high quality experience that will enhance their social, emotional and intellectual development. More information can be found on the Childcare and preschool pages|.

There is a Breakfast Club starting before school offering a healthy balanced diet.

The school proudly retains its identity as a village school and is well supported by the community.

A Parent Council is now established and all parents are welcome to join.

A hardworking PTA also ensures parents are actively involved in the life of the school.

Excellent links are maintained with Graeme High School, the associated secondary school.
