Shieldhill Primary School is a non-denominational primary school, situated in a rural location in the Braes area to the south of the centre of Falkirk.
Information is passed to pupils and parents at regular intervals and specifically at parents nights and report at end of year. Children are encouraged to self assess and to be self critical. Peer assessment also occurs with children from the same class. Sharing talks, reports, pictures, stories, poetry and debates with other pupils in varying audiences helps to build children’s confidence in the value of their own opinions and feelings.
Our school has a very positive ethos where there is mutual trust and respect. Our aim is that all children will achieve their full potential.
Nursery education is available offering 2.5 hours of pre-school education sessions each week. Children will benefit from the high quality experience, which will enhance their social, emotional and intellectual development. More information can be found on the Childcare and pre-school pages|.
