Westquarter Primary School
Head Teacher/Manager:
Mrs Marion Samson
Westquarter Primary School is a non-denominational mainstream primary school located in the rural village of Westquarter, which is approximately 3 miles from Falkirk.
The school catchment area is wider than the village itself and encompasses a private housing estate adjacent to the village. The catchment area also includes the neighbouring village of Redding, which comprises a mixture of private and local authority housing.
There is easy access to the motorway, both Edinburgh and Glasgow. There is a community project wing attached to the school and also a community education office. Classes are run during the day and also in the evening.
At Westquarter Primary School a major aim of the school is to produce a child who can cope with changes. Changes in technology, in particular, are advancing at an unprecedented rate and children should be able to adapt to change from the earliest age. Our school, following this aim, tries to encourage and develop in children the adaptability, co-operation and leadership qualities, and to equip them with skills and attitudes that society demands.
Nursery education is available offering 2.5 hours of pre-school education sessions each week. Children will benefit from the high quality experience, which will enhance their social, emotional and intellectual development. More information can be found on the Childcare and pre-school pages|.
There is a Breakfast Club starting before school offering a healthy balanced breakfast. You can download a breakfast menu from the Breakfast Club page|.
Childcare is available from an out of school care group provided by First 4 Kids. Please contact 01324 671344 for more information on this service.
