Here in Falkirk we are striving to constantly improve the learning experience for all our young people and learners. To do this, we invest in our school estate to ensure that the learning environment is as good as it can be and within 2 years all our secondary schools will be newly built. Teachers in Falkirk therefore work in a very good teaching environment, not only in secondary but in all sectors.
We are particularly keen to attract applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) to support our ambitions for planning for the future. We have an excellent track record in recruiting NQTs and in addition, over the last 3 years, have recruited and retained nearly 70% of our probationers on permanent or temporary contracts.

Alternatively, we are also looking for GTCS registered teachers to join our supply register. As a supply teacher, you will be offered work to cover short term absences in our school and in doing so you get to know more about us so that when a vacancy comes up you are better placed to apply.
