During the period 1st April 2007 to 31st March 2008, we took the following action:

3 claimants were prosecuted and found guilty of committing benefit fraud.

7 other cases were accepted by the Procurator Fiscal (PF) as suitable for prosecution.

4 claimants were offered and accepted an Administrative Penalty as an alternative to prosecution.

2 claimants were offered and accepted Formal Cautions as an alternative to prosecution.
