Scrutinising your landlord's performance
The Scottish Social Housing Charter was created to improve the quality and
of services that social landlords provide, and to support the Scottish Government's
aim of creating a safer and stronger Scotland.
One of the Charter requirements is that we publish a report to our tenants. This
report was written in consultation with our tenants and residents, and is designed
to provide you with information on how we are performing against the Charter.
Please note that due to revisions to the national data for Local Authorities, which we were informed of after the report was prepared, we will need to revise the national average in our 2015 report.
The Scottish Housing Regulator published its Landlord Report on Falkirk Council. This report sets out our performance against key selected Charter Indicators that tenants told the Regulator matter most:

When visiting the Regulator's website, you can use its comparison tool to see how each landlord's performance compares with last year. This tool also allows you to compare any landlords' performance against others, as well as the national average.
The reports are based on the information all landlords provided to the Regulator in their Annual Return on the Charter.
The Scottish Social Housing Charter is all about telling tenants how we are performing. We are holding events that give you a chance to talk to us about your housing services, for example housing quality, maintenance and your neighbourhood. Please drop in for a chat and a cuppa:
National Panel of Tenants and Service Users
The National Panel was established in spring/summer 2013 as a way for the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR) to engage with tenants and other users of social landlord services. The National Panel fits into SHR’s wider approach to communication and engagement with users of social landlord services, and is used to gauge priorities and experiences – and in this way help to shape SHR’s focus in its role as regulator of social landlords. Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS)*
Our Housing Services have been given a High Silver award by TPAS for our work in involving customers. TPAS assessed the Council as providing a good participation service, highlighting many examples of best practice in involving customers of the Housing Service in improving services. Lesley Baird (Director: TPAS) said, "Completing TPAS Accreditation is a big commitment and demonstrates a real openness on the part of the Council …".
