This is a draft of our third Local Housing Strategy covering the period 2017-2022. It sets out our priorities for housing across all tenures and housing related services and shows what we want to achieve over the next five years. This draft strategy has been produced in partnership with stakeholders including Registered Social Landlords, service providers, statutory bodies as well as our tenants, residents and Elected Members.
- Draft Local Housing Strategy 2017-2022
The draft includes our role in Government priorities such as health and social care integration. We also set out how we will deliver more affordable housing locally.
We achieved significant progress through our last strategy which was adopted in 2011. We aim to consolidate and build on these successes, completing current projects and taking forward new projects.
The Housing Need and Demand Assessment which is the evidence base for this strategy has been completed and has been assessed as Robust and Credible by the Scottish Government (Centre for Housing Market Analysis) in August 2016.
