Community Wardens regularly patrol routes within designated parts of the Falkirk Council area to ensure that people can live quietly and peacefully in their neighbourhoods without fear of crime, annoyance or abuse. The Community Warden’s role is to try and ensure that everyone can enjoy the area they live in by:

reducing the fear of crime

reducing incidents of crime
-
reducing graffiti and other anti-social behaviour
-
developing closer links with the community
-
promoting the area as a safe and attractive place to live, work, shop and visit.
Community Wardens work in pairs in six local communities throughout the Council area. These include Bo'ness, Camelon, Denny, Grangemouth, Hallglen and Stenhousemuir and their surrounding areas. Their main duties, amongst others include:

provide reassurance to residents

engage with residents and young people
-
report incidents of anti-social behaviour or crime
-
act as professional witnesses
-
be a point of contact for environmental concerns

access rapid response environmental teams
-
develop links with local schools, youth groups, tenants associations, church groups, local businesses and community groups

offer advice on estate management issues.
