Falkirk Council

Falkirk Council is the largest landlord in the area with approximately 16,847 houses (as at July 2007).

The Housing Department provides a wide range of services, which include:

• repairing and maintaining our houses
• making sure our estates are a safe and secure place to live
• advice and information on housing options and allocation of houses
• specialist advice to people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness
• advice on home energy and environmental issues
• developing a private housing strategy
• identifying and planning for future housing needs

Earlier this year the Council's housing service was inspected by Communities Scotland. We have now developed a draft housing improvement plan| in response to their findings. The draft document is currently with Communities Scotland (now known as the Scottish Housing Regulator) for approval and will be subject to change.
