Aims

To develop multi-agency, partnership links involving investment by the local authority, housing associations, the private sector, and Communities Scotland, as appropriate, in order to extend the range of quality housing choice throughout the Falkirk Council area.

To maximise economic and employment opportunities arising from housing development, and, whenever possible, to relate this to the Council's Strategic Community Plan.
Objectives

To identify opportunities for development partnerships with other agencies using Council housing stock or land.

To encourage tenure diversification to allow the residents of Falkirk a range of housing choices.

To promote opportunities for low-cost home ownership.

To attract funding from other housing investors.

To extend the provision of social rented housing and access to that housing through nomination arrangements
The Council's Housing Service works in partnership with other agencies who can contribute towards meeting the housing needs set out in the Local Housing Strategy. The aim is to maximise the resources available to improve and extend housing opportunities in the Council area.
