The Scottish Government has, within recent years introduced legislation which has directly affected Private Sector Housing. As a result, local authority responsibilities within Private Sector Housing have significantly increased.
Falkirk Council is currently developing a Private Sector Housing Strategy which will identify the various statutory changes, outline the issues affecting this sector, as well as providing an Action Plan of the steps that we plan to take.
This strategy will assist Falkirk Council to meet its Statutory Obligations, as well as actively encouraging, through partnership, the positive development of good quality, warm, affordable and sustainable Private Sector Housing across the Falkirk Council area.
