The Social Work Service has a duty to promote the welfare of children in need in our area. We provide a range of services to protect children and to support families who may be experiencing difficulties. The level and type of support given is dependent on the nature and extent of the problems being encountered.
We work in partnership with other agencies, including the police, health, education, voluntary sector organisations and with other local authorities, to ensure that we provide the best service possible for children and families in the Falkirk Council area.

The Stenhousemuir Children and Families Team has won the 'Best Scottish social service team, unit or service from the voluntary, public or private sector' award at the prestigious Scottish Social Services Council Care Accolades 2008.
The award ceremony took place today at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow.
