Child Protection Committee

The Falkirk Child Protection Committee, which currently meets four times a year, enables us to jointly work with Clackmannanshire Child Protection Committee and Stirling Child Protection Committee on issues relating to child protection, including procedures and inter-agency training. This allows the invaluable sharing of knowledge, experience and expert advice.

The Scottish Executive has given the Child Protection Committee the lead role in strategic leadership and ownership of activity to protect children and young people.

For more information about the Committee, you can download the Annual Report and Action Plan|. You may also find the Inter-Agency Child Protection Guidelines| useful as it provides guidance for those with responsibilities for the protection of children and outlines the roles of individual agencies working together in the process of protecting children.
