This service provides a range of support to young people who are leaving the care of Falkirk Council. Such young people may have been in foster care, residential school or residential care, or on an order from the Children's Hearing System.
Local authorities have a duty to provide assistance to young people who have been in their care to ensure that they are properly supported. This support is planned and agreed prior to them leaving, and covers all aspects of the young person's life including:
-
personal support
-
accommodation
-
education
-
employment/training
-
financial support, including DWP benefit transfers
-
health needs
