Residential care for young people

When a young person's needs can only be met outwith a family environment, we provide residential care.

We have a three-bedded unit, called Tremanna, based in Slamannan, that caters for young people over the age of 12 who require a long-term placement in a single intensive support unit.

We are working towards increasing the range of local residential facilities but in the meantime we commission placements from a range of external agencies, all of whom are registered with and inspected by the Care Commission|.

We have to ensure that our residential care provision provides good quality care, support and opportunities for young people to develop their potential.

For more information, please contact your local social work office|.

Staff members at Tremanna were delighted to receive the 'Community Involvement' award at Falkirk Council's Celebrating Success event in 2007.
