Falkirk Council's Licensing Forum helps shape the policies that affect licensing decisions locally. Volunteers are needed to establish a new Forum which will help shape the future of licensing in the area.
The Forum works with the Licensing Board by making recommendations and suggestions on a wide range of issues connected with licensing.
The Forum typically looks at:
- What is happening in the area in relation to alcohol and licensed premises?
- Is the Licensing Board making decisions in line with what is stated in their Policy
- What is the effect of the Board's decisions in the area?
- The operation of the Licensing Policy
The Forum gathers evidence from a range of sources to support its views and can make recommendations to the Board.
You are welcome to apply if you have an interest in licensing and wish to act in the best interest of local communities.
The Forum has 15 members and should consist of a cross section of interested individuals including police, educational, health and social workers, young people (16 & 17 year olds), license trade representatives and members of the public, resident in the Forum’s area.
If you are interested in joining the Forum, please complete the application form.
The closing date for applications is Friday 01 September 2017.
