Law & Administration Services is responsible for the organisation of civic receptions.
Civic receptions
Requests received for civic hospitality from local organisations for commemorative events - such as centenary celebrations and annual general meetings - where the Council may be able to provide financial assistance towards catering or other costs or provide a civic reception.
The service is also responsible for the organisation of annual events such as annual awards ceremony and Festival of Remembrance.
Local Heroes Event
The Local Heroes event is a civic reception hosted by the Provost to honor local people who have done something worthy of recognition. This event will be held annually.
Christmas lights switch-on
The Provost attends various events in November throughout Falkirk, Bonnybridge, Grangemouth and Airth for the Christmas light switch-on.
Any requests for civic hospitality or for a civic reception should be submitted, in writing, to Members' Services, Law & Administration at the address on the Contact Us panel.
