Under part 3 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015, participation requests enable community participation in improving outcomes for local communities. An outcome is what results from the delivery of a public service. Participation requests can be sent to a number of public sector organisations, including Falkirk Council.

How to make a request

If you want to make a request, you can do so by completing the following form. This will also guide you as to who can make a request:

What will happen with your request?

  • Your request will be initially checked to ensure that it contains the necessary information to allow it to be assessed in more detail
  • Once initial screening has been completed, your request will be assessed in more detail. This is to ensure that it meets the requirements of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015
  • You will be advised on the outcome of your request and the reasons for this
  • If your request is successful you will be advised on how you can participate in improving the outcome you have expressed an interest in
