Community Care Services

Overview of services

Our Community Care service provides a wide range of services and support to adults who are in need of additional care and support. We work with individuals to determine their needs, and arrange services to meet these assessed needs. This ultimately helps to enhance their quality of life and promote independence.

We work in partnership with other local authorities, NHS Forth Valley, and the voluntary sector to provide help and support to a range of people including:

In addition to providing day services, short breaks/respite care and long term care for a range of people, the Community Care teams also provide the following services:

From this page you can also download the Scottish Government leaflet called 'It's your decision|', which provides information on how the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000 |can help when people are unable to decide things for themselves. This could be by reason of mental disorder or inability to communicate

Falkirk Council Library Services also offer a Homebound Library Service| for those who have difficulty getting out to use their local library or the mobile library. The service can deliver books, audio books and/or large print items to borrowers' homes throughout the Falkirk area.
