The Falkirk Learning Disability Team is a team of professionals who provide both health and social work support to people with a learning disability with additional support needs aged 16 years and over.
Additional needs are needs that cannot be met by everyday services and may require assessment from people who have specialist training and may relate to behaviour issues, autistic spectrum disorder, mental health problems, severe epilepsy and/or physical health difficulties.
The team is a partnership between NHS Forth Valley and Falkirk Council, who deliver a range of quality services to support the health and well being of clients, creating opportunities which promote individual development and to ultimately gain positive attitudes, greater skills and self respect.
