What is a clubhouse?
A clubhouse is a mutually supportive community of people whose lives have been affected by long-term mental illness.
Clubhouses are effectively extended families that offer complete acceptance and which therefore creates a sense of belonging.
What does a clubhouse do?
A clubhouse aims to help build confidence, provides purpose and encourages autonomy.
The everyday running of a clubhouse is the responsibility of both members and staff, whether it is banking, recruiting new staff members, organising and running conferences or making tea.

Time and again visitors to a clubhouse find it impossible to identify who are the clubhouse members and who are the members of staff, which is often the best indication that the clubhouse is able to successfully achieve its aims.
In addition, with its unique Transitional Employment Programme (TEP) a clubhouse can help its members to reintroduce themselves to paid employment.
The TEP offers real jobs for those who are currently involved in this programme.
We currently have placements with Redeem and Falkirk Council within Social Work services; Corporate and Neighbourhood services and Commercial services.
