The Short Breaks Bureau organises accommodation for those who have been identified by social work as needing a short break, and who are unable to take a holiday due to disability, ill health or requiring special needs.
Short breaks could mean either a couple of hours or a few weeks, and it should provide a positive experience for the individual and their carer. The break should enhance the quality of their lives, social environment and support their relationship.
