Action Outdoors is a vibrant new centre on the Union Canal which offers people of all ages and abilities the opportunity of healthy waterside activities and a chance to try new experiences, meet new people, learn new skills and gain greater confidence and esteem and enable personal development.
We aspire to provide high quality activities that meet the needs and expectations of all our clients, this includes programmes designed around your needs.
Days are exciting, action packed, challenging, and fun. If you would like to participate in a particular activity or programme, it would be beneficial to speak to our staff who to discuss your requirements, they will be able to advise you helping to match your ability to the most appropriate level of activity.
We offer a diverse range of activities to members of the public, schools, Community Groups and other organisations.
Our range of activities caters for different ages and abilities, form beginner and activity taster sessions to advanced sessions for individual skills development, which lead to accredited award schemes.
We also offer programmes for Personal and Social Development and teambuilding.
The Centre
The Action Outdoors centre is owned by the Waterways Trust Scotland and managed by Falkirk Council and takes in a stretch of 32 miles of canal and towpaths which are very rich in historic, industrial and wildlife interest.
The centre provides a classroom, storage, drying areas and cotemporary changing and showering facilities.
