Shieldhill is a village within the Falkirk Council area in Central Scotland. The village is 2.0 miles south-east of Falkirk, 2.4 miles south-west of Polmont and 0.5 miles north of the village of California.
Shieldhill is divided into two main parts: an east and an west. The west side is over 60 years old and takes up around a third of Shieldhill. The east side is over 20 years old and takes up the other two thirds. The main road through Shieldhill is the B8028 road between California and Glen Village and the B810 road from Reddingmuirhead.
According to the 2001 Census, Shieldhill was recorded as having a resident population of 2,656.
