Bainsford is a small village situated in the Forth Valley, 1 mile north of the town of Falkirk.
It is positioned between the River Carron and the Forth and Clyde Canal to the north and south respectively.
The main road through the village is the B902 road which connects the village with Carron and Falkirk.
According to a 2009 estimate, Bainsford has a population of just over 3,000 residents.
