In Falkirk, Callendar House| tells stories of 1,000 years of Scottish history though costumed interpreters, including life below stairs in the Georgian kitchen. The house and adjacent Park Gallery host exhibitions. The magnificent Callendar Park has remains of the Antonine Wall, woodland walks and lots of activities for children.
The Falkirk Wheel| opened in 2002 as the centrepiece of the restored Forth and Clyde and Union Canals. A unique boat trip on the Wheel will lift you 115 feet through the air in a matter of minutes. Nearby, Extreme Karting provides driving thrills and the Mariner Leisure Centre has a pool with waves and chutes.

On the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway|, your steam train ride will take you to Birkhill Caverns, a fascinating former clay mine. While in the area, visit Bo’ness Motor Museum and the ship-shaped Blackness Castle on the Firth of Forth.
