The Chief Executive, Directors and Councillors came together on Monday 17 September 2018 at the Council of the Future Board.
The Board heard updates on 3 Council of the Future projects:
- Redesign of Building & Maintenance Services: Phase 2
- Analogue to Digital
- Virtual Learning
Two bids were made to the Change Fund, a £700k fund that was launched earlier this year to help innovative Council of the Future projects get off the ground. The bids were:
- Closer to Home – Children's Services - £228k (which includes spend on Family Support, Foster Care, and self-directed care)
- Bereavement Services – Development Services - £120k (which includes installing a new records management system and launching a virtual service provision)
Both bid authors were asked to submit additional information to the Board before a decision on fund allocation could be made.
