As part of an ongoing review of recruitment, the Council's induction processes have been reviewed and updated checklists for induction are now available, which all managers can use.

There are 2 parts:

Pre-start induction

Guide for the things a manager should think about before the employee starts.

First day induction

Includes all the areas we should cover in our induction with new employees. It also has a list of suggested OLLE elearning courses that employees should complete (with additional ones for managers).

 Our aim is to automate this process going forward.

Corporate induction sessions

In addition, we have introduced corporate induction sessions, to ensure all employees, whatever their job, can attend and hear about our Council. These sessions which commenced in November will run every second month and new employees will be contacted directly to invite them to attend. Managers will be made aware of any invites issued within their team and are encouraged to support attendance where possible.
