The Council is currently accredited as a Living Wage Employer by the Living Wage Foundation (LWF) and is committed to paying the recommended living wage rate of pay, which means that we should implement the Living Wage hourly rate within 6 months of this being announced.

In November 2020, the Living Wage Foundation announced the hourly rate of £9.50. This will be implemented as part of the national pay award.

Negotiations on the pay award from April 2021 are ongoing.

We will provide an update on the negotiations and implementation as soon as possible.
