We need your help to ensure our Green Travel Plan provides employees with a range of sustainable and practical options to get to and from work.

To ensure the plan meets employee need – and helps us reduce our travel emissions - a survey has been launched to find out:

  • how you travelled to work pre-pandemic
  • what your current arrangements are
  • how you’d like to commute once restrictions ease

Everyone who fills in the Travel Right Falkirk Survey 2020 has an opportunity to add their email address into a prize draw to win one of two £50 Amazon gift vouchers.

The survey closes at 6pm on 4 December. Winners of the prize draw will be informed by 11 December.

Helping to create a greener council

The Green Travel Plan is an essential part of the Council of the Future Sustainable Travel project, which is one of 23 projects that aim to modernise and improve services and help deliver on the Council’s three new corporate priorities - Communities, Enterprise, and Innovation.

Chris Cox, Project Manager, Sustainable Travel, said: “The aim of the plan is to encourage safe, healthy and sustainable travel to and from work, making walking, cycling, public transport and car-sharing more accessible, safe and convenient to you for your commute. The plan also aims to help reduce transport-related emissions and improve air quality in Falkirk.

“I would encourage all employees to participate in the survey. Your responses are vital in helping us create a new Corporate Green Travel Plan that aims to help improve employee commuting and understand future home working and organisational business travel.”
