Three firms have been appointed to help us turn the former Thomas Cook Building into modern office space that will be ready to use mid-2021.

Working with hub East Scotland, a public/private partnership organisation that delivers community infrastructure, we’ve appointed:

The firms will help us transform the former call centre building and ensure we get value for money on the £1m project. They’ll also work with us to close and demolish Municipal Buildings.

Destination? Transformation!

The creation of new office space in Larbert – and further office accommodation in the Falkirk Stadium - was agreed at a meeting of Council in September as part of our ambitious plans to build a £45m Council HQ & Arts Centre.

Lesley Malkin, Project Manager, said:

“Working with hub East Scotland, our delivery partners, we have been able to appoint three leading contractors whose experience in their individual fields is second-to-none. Their expertise and knowledge will help us move quickly to the next stage of the project, and help the Council take a significant step forward in its transformation.”

The HQ project sits within our Strategic Property Review, one of 23 Council of the Future projects that aim to modernise and improve services and help deliver on our three new corporate priorities - Communities, Enterprise, and Innovation.
