Update

All roads have now reopened to pedestrians and vehicles.

Denny Old Parish Church was struck by lightning this morning resulting in structural damage.  In the interests of public safety the roads at Denny Cross have been temporarily  closed until the damage can be fully assessed.

The following roads, all leading to/from Denny Cross, are closed to pedestrians and vehicles:-

A883 Broad Street

Glasgow Road

Stirling Street

Duke Street

Diversions are around A872 Nethermains Road.
