Residents in Bo’ness are being offered the opportunity to influence how and where future Falkirk Council services are offered in the town.

Current users and community representatives will be invited to take part in focus groups and workshops running from Monday 12 September until Monday 31 October to discuss how services are delivered locally in Bo’ness. In addition, comment cards will be available in local facilities such as Bo’ness library, GP practices, Bo’ness town hall, Bo’ness Academy and various local church halls.

The review is being driven by a wide scale review of how best to provide face to face Council services across the area, ensuring that the needs of local people, particularly vulnerable residents, are met.

Councillor Craig Martin, Leader of Falkirk Council said: “The new approach means that the resources we have can be better targeted to the most vulnerable in our local communities.

“We will focus on providing advice and guidance on areas such as benefit advice, money advice and helping customers to access other providers of support.

“We are looking to engage with local people who currently use the One Stop Shop to give them a say in how our future services are best delivered.”

Services such as payments for Council tax and rent can also be made at local shops with PayPoint or Post Office location or customers can set up direct debits.
