There is a current yellow weather warning for the area with the potential for snow and ice forecast for Monday evening and Tuesday. Whilst the worst of this weather is anticipated to be to the south and west of our area, we are responding to this warning.

Priority 1 routes will be treated this evening and as required over the following days in response to the weather conditions. Priority 1 footways will also be treated, however drivers, pedestrians and cyclists should be aware of the potential impact of the snow/ice weather warning issued, and take appropriate care to travel in accordance with the weather conditions, even if the road and footpath surfaces have been treated.  Officers from our Roads Team will monitor conditions 24 hours a day.
