As a result of dramatic reductions in passengers combined with the closure of school, transport operators across the UK have been given special dispensation to make changes to services with 24 hours notice.

We have so far been notified of the following changes to bus services which will impact Falkirk Council residents and employees. Please note that in all cases below, it is highly likely that there will be further short notice changes to services as the Covid-19 outbreak develops.

First

First will revert to their school holiday timetable from Monday 23 March 2020. This should have limited impact in the Falkirk Council area.

Stagecoach Fife

Services 8 and 28 will operate a reduced timetable and will not extend into the Falkirk Council area. Skinflats will have no bus service after Saturday 21 March 2020.

Services X24/X26 will operate a Sunday timetable with some route curtailment. There will be a reduction in the frequency of Stagecoach Express services to/from Forth Valley from every 30 minutes to every 30 minutes from Monday 23 March 2020.
