The winners of Provost Buchanan’s Christmas Card Competition have been announced.

Local children were asked to use their crimbo creativity to design a christmas card to be used by the Provost and Falkirk Council’s chief executive Kenneth Lawrie, with more than 100 entries.

The winners are:

  • Summer from Laurieston
  • Eva from Slamannan
  • Jacob from Denny

Runners-up:

  • Dominic from Bo’ness
  • Kayden from Slamannan
  • Abigail from Bo’ness

Winners each given £50 of Smyths Toys vouchers, with runners-up receiving £25 worth of vouchers at a special prizegiving event with Provost Buchanan.

As well as their vouchers, Jacob, Dominic and Summer will also be given a supply of printed cards to send to family and friends.

The panel would like to thank everyone for their entries, and for bringing the festive cheer.

The Provost’s Christmas Appeal is raising money for local children, young people and families facing financial hardship this festive season. All donations are welcomed.

Monies raised this year will be given directly to those who need it most. The Appeal closes on Saturday 11 December to allow time for distribution before Christmas.
